The EBInnov® research unit
EBI research takes place in the school in conjunction with our partner laboratories, with the aim of innovating for health, well-being and safety, to improve the quality of life and safety of people. It integrates the 17 sustainable development objectives for 4 main sectors: pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agro-industry and environment
The laboratory dedicated to bio-product innovation
Closely associated with the training of its biology engineering students, EBI’s own research unit, EBInnov®, contributes to weaving collaborations between the actors of its territory, the Val d’Oise, and its national and international academic partners, in order to respond to the needs of innovation and development of the bio-industries. EBInnov® research activities cover the entire product innovation chain, from asset creation to process development. Through partnerships with industrial and institutional partners since the creation of EBI in 1992, 2 research axes form the DNA of EBInnov®: Galenics and Biotechnology.
- EBInnov® Galenics : formulation, industrial optimization and efficacy and acceptability modeling of cosmetic and pharmaceutical forms.
- EBInnov® Biotechnology: bioproduction, characterization and development of active molecules, adjuvants and materials with functional and therapeutic properties.
EBInnov® research activities are located in the heart of an ecosystem that is conducive to innovation: Doctoral schools, partner laboratories, competitive clusters, learned societies, incubators, accelerators, company labs
EBInnov® benefits from state-of-the-art technological platforms dedicated to its research and expertise activities: cell cultures, molecular biology, microbiology, formulation, processes, analytics and sensory panels. Our sensory expertise is integrated into the national Cosmetomics® platform.
