Engineering course
The students from the Terminale apply to the EBI Engineering Course through the Puissance Alpha competition on Parcoursup. Students who are already in higher education submit an application, which will be followed by an interview, if the level of the file allows it. Biology curricula must be compatible with our teaching.
Application procedures
Terminale Générale and STL students register on Parcoursup in January, and select EBI via the
Puissance Alpha Post Bac competition
. Registration according to Parcoursup calendar.
Students already in higher education select the Puissance Alpha Rebond competitive entrance exam or
an application file with EBI
between January and June. The application form can be downloaded directly from our website. A 30-minute motivation interview is then scheduled with a permanent teacher, if the application is accepted. It focuses on the candidate’s motivations and career plans.
1st year of the preparatory cycle: senior students
The Puissance Alpha Post Bac competition is aimed at students in their final year of high school who have chosen 2 scientific specialties (Maths, Physics-Chemistry, Biology). 60% of the grade is for the file study and 40% for the written tests, which will take place in April 2023.
For the Bac STL, the written exams are replaced by a second study of the file by the EBI jury.
The application fee is 120€, except for STL bacs (50€) – 120 places
1st year preparatory cycle: students from higher education
Level required:
– PASS or LAS
– BCPST1 or TB1 without validation of the year
– 1st year scientific without validation of the year
The application fee is 140€ – 30 places
Registrations are made through the Puissance Alpha Rebond competition.
1st year of preparatory school : Staggered start
You can apply online via the Puissance Alpha Rebond website. We then carry out a study of the file, followed by an interview with a jury, if the level allows it.
Level required:
– PASS or LAS
– BCPST1 or TB1
– 1st year science
The application fee is 80€ – 30 places
2nd year preparatory cycle
Level required:
– PASS or LAS validated
– L1 Biology
– BCPST1 admitted in BCPST2
The application fee is 140€ – 20 places

1st year engineering cycle
Level required:
– BCPST2 and TB2 eligible
– DUT biological engineering, IAB, ABB or GE options
– DUT chemical engineering, option bioprocesses GCGP
– BTS Bio-Ac, Biotechnology, Biophysics, or Quality IAB
– L2 or L3 in biology
The application fee is 140€ – 80 places

Admissions Calendar
Registrations for the EBI Engineering Course are made according to the Parcoursup calendar, and from the beginning of January to the end of June for parallel admissions directly with EBI.
For the delayed start, registration from October to mid-January with the Puissance Alpha competition.
