Bachelor Biotech Engineering
The Bachelor Biology of the EBI is open to students from the Terminale through the Puissance Alpha competition on Parcoursup. Students already in higher education can also access it and apply in the same way.
Application procedures
Terminale Générale et Technologique (STL, STi2D, ST2S, STAV) students register on Parcoursup between the end of January and the beginning of March, and select the Bachelor Biotech Engineering via the Puissance Alpha “Bachelor” competition. Registration closes in mid-March.
Students who have had their baccalauréat for less than two years and are already in the French education system can apply for the Puissance Alpha Rebond competition.
1st year Bachelor: students in their final year of high school
This course is aimed at students in their final year of general education who have chosen 1 or 2 scientific specialties (Maths, Physics-Chemistry, Biology and Biology) or a Technological Bac (STL, STi2D, ST2S, STAV). The EBI evaluates your file with your first and last year’s report cards, as well as the future file and the motivated project.
Application fee is 50€ – 40 places
1st year Bachelor's degree: staggered start in February
This course is aimed at students with a General Bac who have chosen 2 scientific specialties (Maths, Physics-Chemistry, Biology) or a Technological Bac (STL, STi2D, ST2S, STAV), and who wish to change direction during the year rather than wait until September. Applications can be submitted online via the application area.
The EBI evaluates your file with your first and last year’s report cards, your baccalaureate grades, your grades in higher education (if you have any) as well as the motivated project.
No application fee – 10 places
1st year Bachelor's degree: higher education students
This course is aimed at students who have studied science for less than two years in higher education.

The application fee is €50 – 30 places
Admissions Calendar
Registrations are made from mid-January to mid-March on Parcoursup via the Puissance Alpha Bachelor competition. The results are then posted on Parcoursup on June 2.
