This major in the engineering cycle trains engineers to master the marketing aspects of launching a new product range. Market research, visual identity research, packaging creation, wording definition and scientific knowledge of the product are the assets of this training for our biological engineers.
During these two semesters, the student-engineers will learn to :
Student-engineers take 3 courses in their major in semesters 8 and 9 in addition to the language courses.
Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, French, TOEFL/IELTS
Team project course
To enhance their experience and skills, engineering students may freely choose 4 to 10 elective courses from the programs of other majors or from the free program of the following minors:
Through three main areas, packaging, communication and distribution, students learn the marketing basics necessary for the job of product manager. They master the symbolism of the colours that make up the packaging, the advertising strategies and processes, the new challenges and strategies in terms of distribution and the new operational marketing techniques. A case study is then submitted: relaunching a brand that was a failure at launch.
During their master's degree in biology, from the 4th to the 5th year, engineering students are challenged by high value-added internships, contributing to change within the company. Depending on the company's needs, the end-of-studies engineering internship can be part of a professionalization contract lasting up to 9 months.
Students travel the world through their international internship for a period of 2 to 6 months.
After EBI, young engineers have several options: to enter the professional world or to continue their studies.
They can go on to a doctorate, complete their profile by following a postgraduate course in a business or engineering school, or follow the "Patent and Industrial Property" course.

The product manager manages the commercial life of a product, from its design to its distribution. At the interface of all the departments, subcontractors and service providers concerned (design, manufacturing, quality, promotion, etc.), he/she constantly ensures the consistency and profitability of the project (competitive intelligence, claims, packaging, prices, distribution channels, date of launch, communication campaigns, promotional operations, monitoring of management charts and sales forecasts). Creative and resourceful, he uses all information to ensure a long and profitable life for the range for which he is responsible.
At the end of their specialization, the EBI engineering students who have validated all the required criteria, obtain the engineering diploma of the School of Industrial Biology, accredited by the CTI, Master's degree and recognized by the State.
I personally specialised in marketing, and what I like about this course is the dual scientific and marketing skills that I was able to acquire throughout my time at EBI. This global vision of the industry helps me today in my daily work in companies, to understand the stakes and constraints of each of the departments I work with.
