This engineering major trains quality managers to guarantee product repeatability. The quality manager analyses the production batches, writes procedures, and ensures that the European or international standards related to ingredients are followed by the teams. It also oversees the safety and security of the products.
During these two semesters, the student-engineers will learn to :
Student-engineers take 3 courses in their major in semesters 8 and 9 in addition to the language courses.
Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, French, TOEFL/IELTS
Team project course
To enhance their experience and skills, engineering students may freely choose 4 to 10 elective courses from the programs of other majors or from the free program of the following minors:
The course of regulation and marketing presents the MA file and the regulation of drugs in Europe. It covers market access, pricing and reimbursement of drugs. To complete the picture, the legislation on food supplements and health claims is described. A final section deals with medical devices (MDs), with classification, regulation and marketing in Europe.
During their master's degree in biology, from the 4th to the 5th year, engineering students are challenged by high value-added internships, contributing to change within the company. Depending on the company's needs, the end-of-studies engineering internship can be integrated into a professionalization contract of up to 9 months.
Students travel the world through their international internship for a period of 2 to 6 months.
After graduating from EBI, young engineers have several options: enter the professional world or continue their studies.
They can go on to a doctorate, complete their profile by following a postgraduate course in a business or engineering school, or follow the "Patent and Industrial Property" course.
- Regulatory Affairs Officer
- Validation Engineer
- Quality Health Safety Environment (QHSE) Engineer
- Supplier Quality Manager
- Industrial Protection Engineer
The QHSE engineer develops and guarantees the QSHE management system, in direct contact with the general management and other operational managers. He/she contributes to the development of efficiency within his/her organization through the continuous improvement of processes by recommending actions. He analyses non-conformities and malfunctions and diagnoses the causes. It monitors corrective and preventive measures, carries out investigations and audits. He/she must raise awareness, train, lead, provide technical support and also ensure customer satisfaction. As the project manager, he is the main contact for official services (inspections) and certifying bodies (audits).
At the end of their specialization, the EBI engineering students who have validated all the required criteria, obtain the engineering diploma of the School of Industrial Biology, accredited by the CTI, Master's degree and recognized by the State.
In Quality, the diversity of courses and tools that are shared with us gives us the necessary keys to carry out several missions of different nature. Our training can be applied to all sectors of activity.
We are also made aware of the responsibilities of quality controllers within a company. This is rewarding because we understand that our job is essential to the smooth running of a company.
