Integration into EBI
EBI makes the integration of its new students a key moment in the academic year. From the moment they arrive, students are immersed in a dynamic and welcoming environment, focused on discovery, cohesion and commitment. This welcome takes the form of a variety of activities, combining fun with reflection on the school’s values: commitment, creativity, optimism, honesty, cooperation, trust and responsibility.
Discovering a new environment for better adaptation
Integration is an opportunity for newcomers to familiarize themselves with their new environment. EBI makes it a point of honor to support them in this transition. As soon as they arrive, students are greeted by management, who welcome them and introduce them to the resources available to help them make the most of their studies. They are also shown around the campus, the laboratories, the IT tools and the way studies work. This comprehensive introduction is essential if they are to adapt quickly and feel at ease right from the start of the year.
Creating links for an enriched journey
Throughout the 2024-2025 integration week, the BDI (BD’Iris) organized a series of events to help newcomers integrate. Friendly meals, visits to the city of Cergy, festive evenings and other moments of relaxation punctuate these intense days. Students are encouraged to make new acquaintances, create memories and forge lasting bonds with their fellow students. The integration week ends on a high note with the “apéro Parrain/Marraine”, a tradition at EBI that enables new students to build trusting relationships with students from previous classes.
Sexist and Sexual Violence (SGBV) awareness: learning while having fun
The Wednesday of this integration week is a time for reflection. EBI is actively involved in raising awareness of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), and is proposing an original method: a debate-theater led by the Compagnie Entrées de Jeu. In this interactive experience, actors act out scenes from student life relating to SGBV. After each scene, students are invited to replay certain situations to help them adopt appropriate behaviors. This participative, playful and educational approach raises students’ awareness of important issues while actively involving them in reflection.
Team-building activities to break the ice
The Friday of integration week is always an eagerly-awaited moment: new students take part in a day rich in bonding activities. Olympiads, sporting challenges and other fun events are on the agenda, enabling everyone to surpass themselves while forging links with their new classmates. These activities are not limited to competition, but encourage mutual aid and cooperation, values dear to EBI. The event ended with a convivial aperitif, perfect for informal exchanges and a warm start to the new year.

This integration week perfectly reflects EBI’s values. Thanks to these moments of sharing, learning and awareness-raising, students begin their journey at EBI in the best possible conditions. Not only are they ready to take on the academic challenges that lie ahead, they are also ready to get involved in a dynamic and caring student life. Joining EBI is much more than a mere administrative formality: it’s a real immersion in a stimulating environment, where each student can develop and become actively involved, while creating strong bonds for many years to come.
